The primary mission of the Showcase is to serve the needs of U-M-affiliated individuals. The Showcase is not set up to handle large-volume U-M departmental orders. Most departmental orders should be placed through:

However, as a convenience to departments, we are able to sell many of our products on a limited, small-volume basis. For example, if we have a computer in stock that you need, we can process a sale using a University shortcode.
In order to make a departmental purchase at the Showcase, the staff member picking up the products will need to:
If the purchase includes Microsoft products, special rules apply, including the requirement of a signed End-User License Agreement from the person(s) who will be using the software.
All sales are processed over-the-counter (no shipping). Sales tax is not charged. We cannot accept a PCard, as it is intended for purchases made outside the University only.
Showcase only sells licensed software for personal use. Licensed software products (including Microsoft) for departmental use are managed by the ITCS software licensing group. For more information on software, see ITCS Software Licensing and Distribution.
If you are shopping for departmental purchases, we invite you to take advantage of the Showcase as a consulting resource. Visit one of our showrooms and ask us about the hardware and software products sold by the University. We are happy to be of assistance to both individuals and departments. Please call us at 647-2537 if you have questions.
