Departmental Purchases

We invite departments to visit the Computer Showcase for sales consulting and small-volume purchases. Large-volume departmental orders should be placed through M-marketsite.) Restrictions apply to software purchases.

Ordering & Pick-up

To make a departmental purchase at the Showcase, the staff member picking up products must bring:

To insure the items you are requesting are available, you can e-mail the completed form to computer.showcase@umich.edu. Please use the subject line "Departmental Purchase" and specify your preferred pickup location in the body of your message. We will contact you when your order is ready.

Payment

We process departmental sales via U-M ShortCode only. Sorry, we cannot accept P-Cards due to university regulations. All sales are processed over-the-counter (no shipping). Sales tax is not charged.

Microsoft and Adobe Software

The Showcase sells licensed software for personal use. Licensed software products (including Microsoft) for departmental use are managed by the ITS software licensing group: ITS Software Licensing and Distribution.

If a department wishes to purchase a Microsoft product for use on a faculty/staff member's personal computer, the individual must complete an End-User License Agreement (PDF) before we can release the software.

Departments needing to purchase Adobe products for use on university-owned computers should visit M-marketsite and go to the CDW-G catalog. As with Microsoft, we can only sell Adobe licensed products to departments if the software is for personal use. Please complete the required Adobe Agreement (PDF).
