Windows 7 Ultimate is now available for purchase at the Showcase. For current in-stock status, see our Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit or Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit product catalog pages.
Students, faculty, and staff can now purchase an unboxed copy of the Work-At-Home media and license for Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit or 64-bit). This license is upgrade only and will not work on a blank hard drive or on a Macintosh that does not already have a version of Windows installed somehow.
We are able to offer Windows 7 to you at such a great price because the U-M has negotiated a licensing agreement with Microsoft. As part of this agreement:
You may buy only 1 copy of this version of Windows
The software may only be installed up to 2 times on the same serial-numbered machine
It may only be used for work-at-home purposes
At the time of purchase, you will need to fill out and sign a Microsoft End User License Agreement. The exact form depends on your U-M affiliation and the products you are purchasing. Here are the forms, in PDF format:
For expiration and other info, see UM's licenses page
Unfortunately our license will not allow us to sell Windows 7 to you at the U-M Computer Showcase. You will need to purchase it at your campus.
