We are often asked if we offer price protection in the event of a sudden price drop or new product release. Price protection is at the discretion of the vendor. If available, we will gladly pass a refund or some other option on to our customers. When this happens there is usually only a short window of time (1-5 days) for a buyer's past purchase to be considered eligible.
Unfortunately, most of the time our products are not eligible for price protection and we (as a not-for-profit academic reseller) don't have the resources to fund it in-house. We often don't know when a product will change or a price will go up or down. Customers should be prepared to accept all sales as final at the time of purchase.
Our goal is to make technology products as affordable as possible so we regret those instances when we are not able to refund a price drop retroactively. Thank you for your understanding.
